About the artist, Dorothea Alter:
A native Vermonter, a University of Vermont graduate, and currently a stay-at-home mom.
Passion for art and nature has been a part of her life for a very long time.
She loves spending time outdoors with her family!
She's always loved jewelry, so making art jewelry was a natural progression for her. Her pieces are deeply feminine yet have a definite organic feel (a byproduct of drawing her inspiration from nature.) All pieces are original and are limited editions or one of a kind. Dorothea uses sterling silver, meticulously chosen semiprecious stones, freshwater pearls and some crystal and gold accents (for "bling"). She is in a constant state of designing and creating new pieces.
